Official Announcement on Maniratnam – Simbu Film
Maniratnam’s this year release Kaatru Veliyidai was bounded to mixed reviews. But the film had its decent run among his league of fans. Now with his fans curiously looking out for his next project, the word is out now. An official press note from Madras Talkies reveals complete details about his upcoming film.
The film is tentatively titled as Production No. 17. The film features STR, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Jyotika and Ishwarya Rajesh in lead roles. As usual, Maniratnam’s lucky mascot AR Rahman will be composing music. Santhosh Sivan is handling cinematography and Sreekar Prasad is on editing.
Shooting of this untitled film will commence in January 2018 and plans are to release it by the same yearend. It is also mentioned in the press note that few more actors will be joining the star-cast.
