Kollywood’s new way of gaining attention and proving their success of what is being uploaded seems to be getting very economical by the use of ‘YouTube views’. The YouTube View hype all began with the release of the song ‘Why This Kolaveri’. It went viral globally and many top Medias stated about the success by highlighting the ‘views’ even though the visualization did not make up to the songs achievement. Currently, whether it is a song, teaser or trailer, the aim is who gets the most views. This activity is formed by the fans on social medias such as Twitter & Facebook for every top actor in Kollywood (also others). Is it only fans? Certainly Not! It appears that even certain Production House and Music Industries have also stepped into this spotlight.
Not every ‘YouTube Views’ are genuine. There are many ways to increase it (pay, sites, etc) and if you examine it cautiously, you will recognize them! So what is the benefit of getting millions of YouTube views? The YouTube account holder of the video(s) will get money for every view of their video uploaded. It has to be their original work or under their rights but have to be a partner with YouTube.
