Music composer Thaman, who roped in Simbhu to sing a song for Vallinam, is now planning to approach Kamal Haasan to croon for an emotionally-driven climax portion that’s almost like a background song. Vallinam is an upcoming drama film directed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam and produced by Aascar Ravichandran. The film features Nakul and newcomer Mrudhula Basker in the lead roles.
It has triggered high expectations with its sports-centric story about basketball. Since the adrenalin-pumping visuals demand a resonant voice to sustain the mood, the director and composer think Kamal’s vocals will be perfect for the song. ‘Yes, we have approached Kamal Sir as the climax is crucial for the film. He likes the idea,’ says Thaman.
