Since Vijay starrer movie Thuppaki faced an issue regarding the poster which features actor Vijay with the cigar which is directed by A.R.Murugadoss. Now, the second trouble hits the movie again regarding the title. It is in a big trouble and the film makers are banned to use the title “Thuppaki”. The petition was filed by a debut director Ravi Devan who assisted Kamal Haasan in many films. Ravi Devan stated that he registered the title “Kalla Thuppaki” for his movie in 2009 and the shooting of the movie is under progress now.
According to Ravi Devan, the title design of his Kalla Thuppaki and Vijay’s Thuppaki are so similar that it could cause big confusion among the people. Though a complaint was filed at the Producers’ Council, Ravi Devan alleged that no action was taken as Vijay’s dad S.A.Chandrasekar is the head.
Following this issue, he had approached the court seeking justice and had eventually got it with the court declaring that the filmmakers of Thuppaki is banned from using the title.
