Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer is a romantic film directed by Suseenthiran. The film features debutante Santhosh Ramesh (Singanamala Ramesh’s second son) and Manisha Yadav ( Vazhakku Enn 18/9 fame) in the lead roles. The film is produced by Nallu Studios and Music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. No big stars, no big promotion, not a big budget film yet beats many other films released this year.

Storyline:
Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer revolves around 2 classmates (Karthik & Swetha) who later engages into love. Their closeness and careless mistake guides Swetha to pregnancy. Swetha’s pregnancy is discovered by her mother and hereafter begins the conflict between both parties. The couple tries to find a solution to the ongoing issue with help of their friends, but they do not find any answer. Swetha’s parents are keen on getting them both married, but Karthik’s dad does not want this to happen as he thinks his reputation will be spoiled. The couples have 2 choices, 1. To convince them or 2. To run away.  Do they convince them? Do they run away? Or do they take another option forms the rest of the story with an unexpected climax and tear dropping track ‘Arraro paada inga thaayum illai’ from Yuvan.

 Special mentions:

  • Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music requires applaud! His music is one of the reasons why the movie has created a huge involvement and impact on the audience.
  • Suseenthiran – Rajapattai director? Yes, it is him.  Unbelievable, but great transformation and a bright comeback! Well written and directed. A great message to the current society. Please bring us more of these ‘true’ based stories in future!

Plus:

  • Screenplay & Direction
  • Performance (Manisha’s)
  • Music
  • Cinematography

Minus:

  • Hard to spot any major downfall apart from Santhosh’s performance and running length being 106 minutes.
