Kolamaavu Kokila Music Review

Nayanthara’s much-awaited Kolamaavu Kokila arrives as a complete album now. Significantly, the actress’ collaboration with Anirudh has been tremendously received. Undoubtedly, this album has already proved of such greatest results with three single tracks. Nelson has wielded megaphone for this film.

Edhuvaraiyo

Singers: Sean Roldan and Gautham Vasudev Menon
Lyrics: Vivek and Gautham Vasudev Menon

The song holds you emotionally bounded from beginning till its end. Anirudh’s esthetical proficiency is so much illustrious in Edhuvaraiyo with his selection of singers. Sean Roldan leaves us highly addicted to his voice with his earnest rendition. In addition, Gautham Vasudev Menon’s voiceover comes powerfully embedding the song with more impact. The mildness over the instrumental panoramas and the mixing of sound stands out to be a major highlight.

Kalyana Vayasu

Singer: Anirudh Ravichander
Lyrics: Sivakarthikeyan

The song is quite a refreshing bridge that comes in between intense tracks. Of course, the visuals featuring Yogi Babu are enhancing it blatantly. The song has a panache that blends the western beats with Desi-rendition of Anirudh. Although the same instrumental portions are used in interludes followed by the ending episodes, it doesn’t fail to impress us.

Orey Oru
Singers: Anirudh Ravichander and Jonita Gandhi
Lyrics: Vignesh Shivn

The mildness is prevalent everywhere in the song, where the guitar works are predominantly pleasant. Anirudh enchants us his honeyed rendition and Jonita Gandhi stands out to be a perfect concomitant. The lyrical lines by Vignesh Shivn blissfully stick with his routine prototyped formulae. Yes, it’s pretty easy to grasp and convincing too.

Kabiskabaa CoCo – The Gibberish Song
Singer: Arunraja Kamaraj

The song will instantly become the favorite of teen groups for it is loaded with fun and energy. Recently, the trend of ‘Gibberish’ has been finding its familiarity and this track has ingredients to stick to our minds. Arunraja Kamaraj executes the song with wild and vivacious rendition. Anirudh picks up retro styled treatment that comes with percussions and bass dominating. More than all, the flute works happen to be the greatest highlight here.

Thittam Poda Theriyala
Singer: Anirudh Ravichander
Lyrics: Vignesh Shivn

There is something that is similar between this track and ‘Edhuvaraiyo’. Well, Anirudh escalates his rhythmic panorama in songs to a completely new zone. If you get a chance to hear the Karaoke version of both these songs, you’ll experience this paradigm. There is mildness in the rhythmic approach.  Vignesh Shivn’s simplistic lyrics attract us by the first time we hear it and the way Anirudh chooses to present it neatly is appreciable.

Gun-In Kadhal
Singers: Vijay Yesudas and Arunraja Kamaraj
Lyrics: Vignesh Shivn

Anirudh Ravichander offers a heavy dose of ‘Trance’ with the beats and the way intonation of singers are composed. Although Vijay Yesudas doesn’t get to score completely with more prominence (the song itself is shorter in duration), he steals our attention effortlessly. The song ending with the peck of ‘Gibberish’ track chorus rendition is perfect placement.
