“I’m glad to announce that Kaakka Muttai has been officially selected at the 2014 Toronto film festival under Discovery category. I’m very proud of Manikandan the director of the film to be the first Tamil film maker to enter the festival as a debutant. As the producers of the film Vetri Maaran and I are proud and thrilled. I feel honoured that a Tamil film is reaching international audience. Kaakka Muttai is a simple and humble yet a very important film. A lot of hard work and patience has gone into the making of this film. Our thanks to each and everyone who supported us. I thank Fox Star for their support. It meant a lot for this project.
We started a banner called Wunderbar films playfully few years back to name the home videos we used to make. Now it has reached Toronto film festival. It’s a great honor and pride for our banner. It just shows anything is possible. You just have to believe 🙂
