Visibly dominated by B’town actors, this year’s IIFA will have several K’town stars in attendance. We need to take part in this celebration of Indian films. I am looking forward to Kamal’s film, B’wood films and actors have always dominated IIFA — the International Indian Film Awards. But this year’s IIFA will have K’town faces in attendance as well with Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam screening, and Prabhudeva choreographing for the award ceremony, Singapore will be hosting several Tamil stars this weekend.
The Tamil film industry bags so many National Awards every year and deserves to be part of the celebrations on an international stage. Kamal Haasan has chosen to unveil the first look of his much-awaited film at the IIFA. Ace choreographer Prabhudeva will be directing. Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and others, in spectacular performances at the award ceremony.
Actress Radikaa, who is associated with the advisory committee of the IIFA, is gearing up for the mega event. “This is the first time I am part of the advisory team of the IIFA and I am honoured. Indian films are not just about Bollywood. Several regions have been producing brilliant cinema every year. The Tamil industry has released some good films and many of them have made heads turn at the national level.
According to a source from the organisers, “Some amazing scenes from the film will be screened for 15 minutes. After the screening,the Ulaganayagan will meet the Singapore press. His fans worldwide will be able to get a glimpse of the most anticipated film of the year. Apparently, the Tamil version of Viswaroopam will be screened at the Vijay Awards on June 16. The Viswaroopam fever is soon to grip Tamil Nadu as well.
