Vemal-Oviya starrer Kalavani 2 shooting wraps up
Certainly, there are few movies that will never fade from our memories. By nature, these movies had kept us so much engrossed for its feel-good entertainment. Definitely, Vemal-Oviya starrer Kalavani is one among them. Sarkunam made his directorial debut with this film in 2010, which was a super hit. After 8 years, the same trio is coming together for the sequel titled Kalavani 2. The film’s shooting started in January 2018, where portions involving Vemal and other actors were filmed. Since, Oviya was busy with other films including Kanchana 2, she joined the shoot in May 2018. Reports now claim that Kalavani 2 shooting is wrapped up in style.
In fact, director Sarkunam has made an affirmation regarding the shoot’s wrap up. Furthermore, he has mentioned that official announcement regarding audio, trailer and theatrical release would be made shortly.
An interesting fact is that Vemal had his previous film ‘Mannar Vagaiyara’ declared as a super hit. On the other end, Oviya has got huge fan following base after her ‘Bigg Boss’ show. Significantly, these reasons are going to be pulling more crowds into theatres for this film.
The major portions of films have been shot in and around Tanjore. The final leg of Kalavani 2 shooting involved a beautiful song ‘Ottaram Pannadha’. This involved beautiful set works of ancient house erected by art director Gunasekaran T.
Disappointingly, Soori who played comedian role in 2010 hit Kalavani will not be a part of this film. Instead, Sarkunam has roped in RJ Vignesh to play Vemal’s friend. Others in the star-cast includes the same actors from the first part, who will be reprising their respective roles.
Earlier, it was mentioned that Sarkunam will team up with Madhavan after Kalavani 2. However, it doesn’t look like the film will start for the moment.
