“Dev is a motherless son and fatherless daughter falling in love” – Karthi
Actor Karthi is incessantly promoting his upcoming film ‘Dev’, which is a Valentine release. The movie is directed by Rajath Ravishankar, who happens to be the former associate of director Kannan. Prince Pictures S Lakshman is producing this film, which has been shot at 80 locations across the world. The film has Rakul Preet Singh playing the female lead role, who had earlier shared the screen with Karthi in Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.
While shedding lights on the film and the prime characters, Karthi said, “Dev is about a motherless son and a fatherless daughter falling in love. How these youngsters perceive life from different walks of life is what the basic premise is all about. The boy thinks that there are lots of things in the world to enjoy than running behind money while the girl is someone, who is ritually inclined to the moneymaking and elite life seeking personality. When they bounce upon each other, the story goes through different directions. We wanted to make this film with so much of serenity, where we didn’t want even a single shot to give any shocks or gory feel. Even the romantic sequences have been written and shot in an elegant way that it would definitely cater to the family audiences.”
