Director Ameer seems to be fascinated with beard. First, he got his hero Jayam Ravi to grow one for Aadhi Bhagavan (AB). And now, he is growing one! When questioned him on it, and he says, “This is a look I’m trying out for my next film.”He further adds, “I’m currently busy with the post production of AB, and simultaneously, working a script, titled Jihad, in which I’ll be playing the lead. I wanted a bearded look for the film, and so, have been busy growing one!”
When asked about the title , “I’ve only revealed the title, and not the story! How can one decide if the film will be controversial or not? It’s a straight and simple story, and I’m eager to start work on it. But it’s too early to talk about it.”
And what asked about his decision of restarting work on his film with Kamal Haasan? “I’m yet to hear from Kamal Haasan. If he gets free anytime soon, I’ll start work on his project first. Since I’ll be playing the lead in Jihad, I don’t mind putting it on hold temporarily!” he says.
