Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam which is getting ready for its release on Jan 11th is continously facing lot of troubles. The issue started since Kamal announced his DTH release plan. Kamal’s plan is his Vishwaroopam will be premiered on all major DTH platforms on January 10th 9.30pm and the movie will be released worldwide on 11th Jan. Even-though this plan had a great welcome among the public and some cinema industry people there was a strong opposition from the theatres owners association.
Kamal Haasan today approached the cops for thier help with the release of vishwaroopam. He approached ADGP (Additional General of Police) – Law and Order today around 12pm at the DGP’s office and registered a complaint against some parties and individuals who threatened him regarding the DTH premiere plans, in a written format.
Kamal registered the complaint by mentioning the names of the individuals who warned him that there will be series power cuts during the telecast of vishwaroopam and they will be illegally pirating the movie by recording the movie through the DTH telecast. Kamal met the press after registering the complaint and said what the complaint is about and also refused to mention the names who threatened him.
Later Kamal Haasan also approached the Chief Secretary in Chennai regarding this issue. Kamal even confirms that he will not back-off his DTH plans and will be proceeding with the plans which was announced, by premiering the film on Jan 10th on DTH platforms and releasing the movie on 11th in all three languages.
