Kollywood director Perarasu is making his debut in Mollywood through Son of Alexander, which is a sequel to the 90s hit, Samrajyam. The Mammootty starrer was directed by Jomon. Interestingly, music maestro Ilaiyaraaja will do the background score for this movie.
“This will be the most expensive movie ever made in Malayalam. We will have the best actors and technicians from across the globe,” says producer Ajmal Hassan. Sekhar V Joseph, the cinematographer of Chandramukhi, will crank the camera for this. The story is by Perarasu and script is written by debutant Shafeeq. “The movie will start from where Samrajyam ended. It will revolve around the son of Alexander, who was a drug dealer. This will also be an underworld story,” informs Ajmal. The makers are planning to keep the cast a surprise. “We will announce it during the muhurth of the movie,” they informs.
