Interview with Rakul Preet about Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru
“An emotional connect made me sign Theeran” – Rakul Preet Singh
Rakul Preet Singh is so much exhilarated as she feels confident over gaining immense reception to her upcoming film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. The film is scheduled to hit screens in three more days and she keeps her fingers crossed.
So what prompted her to sign Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru on the first note?
The actress speaks out citing, “First and foremost, I loved watching Vinoth’s previous film ‘Sathuranga Vettai’. Usually when listening to a script, I would see if I am getting emotionally connected to it. I really got touched by the narration of Theeran script. It is not just my portions or love episodes with Karthi, but on whole, the film have so much of intensity. The way, the script has been moulded made me so much attached to it. I will be so much proud forever for being a part of this film.”
Deliberately as on the inquisitive levels, the obvious question to an actress would be to share working experience with the hero.
She opines up, “It was really great working with him. Although, we hadn’t met before, we built up a good rapport in just 3 days of shooting. Moreover, the initial level of scenes that were offered to us made us understand yet more finely. Karthi was so much helpful in letting me improvise and memorize my Tamil lines. He is someone, who always loves to work more and more. He doesn’t even prefer pack up and keeps working. Moreover, he pushes others on the sets to deliver the best. He served me delicious homemade food from his home. I had a blast shooting with him in Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru.”
Getting to self-delineate her role in this film, Rakul Preet Singh utters,
“This role is something that I haven’t been offered before. I play a typical Tamil girl, who has miserably failed her 10th grade examination 10 times and still projects herself as a genius. When her parents ask her to do household chores, she would say that she is busy with studies. She wants to do Masters, when her parents fix up a marriage proposal. I would say that the love portions between me and Karthi will definitely connect with audiences.”
How special she feels about being a part of Tamil cinema?
“I made my debut as an actress in Tamil cinema first and later went to Telugu industry. What impresses me a lot about Tamil cinema is its content. The kind of stories the filmmakers conceives and how they project with their top-notch technical brilliance keeps me always in awe.”
On clarifying about her upcoming projects, especially the buzzed up one with Selvaraghavan-Suriya film, Rakul Preet Singh tots up,
“It’s too early to speak up about it. You’ll get the official announcement on this from the producers. As of now, I have teamed up with Siddarth Malhotra for a Hindi film and will be sharing the screen space with him again by next year. I have couple of projects in Telugu that will have the announcements made soon.”
