Irumbu Thirai is the only movie after Jilla to make it – SA Chandrasekhar
The entire team of ‘Irumbu Thirai’ celebrated 100 days at Kalaivanar
Arangam in Chennai this morning. Filmmaker-producer-actor SA
Chandrasekhar was present for the occasion felicitating some of the
technicians in the film. Speaking on the occasion, SAC said, “The ones
honouring and showing their respect to parents have always seen an
abundant success. I had personally committed to such a practice and so
are my descendants. I am so much happy about Vishal for being the
same. It was so much evident with the gesture he exhibited here of
honouring his parents here.”
He continued to add saying, “Movies celebrating 100 days of successful
run were so much prevalent during 80s and 90s. But then, the scenario
started diminishing slowly. Vijay’s Jilla was the last one to
successfully yield good profit to the producer and distributors. Now I
am happy to see that Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai has earned a decent profit
for distributors. I am not sure, if Vishal made money out of this
project as he is someone, who is always ready to invest bigger for a
good quality film.”
