Jayam Ravi signs Tamil remake of Baby

Jayam Ravi’s next with director Ahmad clarified

Tall and handsome actor Jayam Ravi had his best elevation in career graph through the movie ‘Thani Oruvan’. Aftermath the success, he has been choosing the right kind of scripts that have been steadily nurturing his journey in Tinsel Town. The actor’s much awaited film ‘Tik Tik Tik’, which was scheduled for January 26 release is postponed to February.

During this interim, the actor is vigorously shooting for his upcoming film ‘Adanga Maru’, directed by newcomer Karthik, a former associate of Ameer. Soon after this film, it was reported that he will team up with Sundar C for a fictional period film ‘Sangamithra’. With so many projects lined up at different stages of production, it was recently mentioned that Jayam Ravi is signed up for the Tamil remake of super hit Bollywood film ‘Baby’.

The original version directed by Neeraj Pandey features Akshay Kumar in lead role. ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’ and ‘Manithan’ fame Ahmad has been officially signed to helm this project, which will have Mathie handling cinematography. Nevertheless, director Ahmad has denied this to a baseless rumour and his script is original, but not a remake of any movie. Right now, the basic levels of scripting are happening and the official word involving the others in cast and crew with shooting plans would be decided later.
