The Buzz in the K’town is that director K V Anand has shot some of the talkie portions in his upcoming Maattrraan on the Indo-Pakistan border near Bhuj.
The source reveals, “One of the highlights of any K V Anand film are the locations where he shoots. A few weeks ago, the director and his unit were shooting the talkie portions in interior Bhuj for around five days. The location was close to the Pakistan border, but the unit didn’t have anything to worry about because it was decalred a ‘safe zone’. They didn’t require any special permission to shoot. Anand was keen to can a few scenes there because the location had a rustic appeal, and would suit the script as well.” The director regarding this news said, “Yes, we shot in Bhuj, which is barely a few kilometers away from Pakistan. The only thing that was making us uncomfortable was the heat. We’re currently scouting for locations to shoot one last song in the film. We’re considering places in Europe, as well as Alaska.”
