Audio Labels stealing the royalty from the music composers is one of the hottest topic in Kollywood industry in recent days. G.V.Prakash Kumar has started this initiative and gaining very good support from the industry people too. This issue is getting bigger than before and even other music composers has started supporting G.V.Prakash Kumar’s initiative.
Music Directors, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris Jayaraj, D.Imman, Vijay Antony, NR.Raghunathan, Achu, SA.Rajkumar has joined hands with G.V.Prakash and singed a petition and submitted to the musicians union recently. These composers has signed the petition against the royalty agreement which is made in advance to the Audio labels.
The musicians union has planned to arrange a press meet within one week of time. The music union will be taking this issue in a bigger manner and mentioned that composers does not need to sign any agreements stating “Advance Royalties”. Its known that Royalty is the actual right of the content creator and the creator signing any agreements of writing off his royalty is not valid according to “The Copyright (Amendment) Act, 2012”.
