The Diwali dhamaka has already started to blow waves in Kollywood with the shocking announcements of the big banner movies releasing on same day. The Poda Podi is one among it and the audio will hit stores on October 10th.
Poda Podi Starring Simbu (a) Arjun and Varalakshmi (a) Nisha will be a stylish, musical romantic flick. Story, Screenplay, Direction, Written by Debutant Director Vignesh Shivan. Camera hold by Duncan Telford and Set Director, Utebergk (Art Director for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) are from UK. Initially Poda Podi was planned to shot at United States following some issues shifted to UK.
The film will also feature Ace Dancer/Actress Shobana Chandrakumar comeback to Kollywood after a long time. She was touted to play a pivotal role in this flick. Santhanam and Premgi who were very close to Simbu will also play a cameo in this flick.
When queried with Vignesh Shivan, director of Poda Podi about audio launch plans “Enjoy the music from October 10th, am sure it will be fresh and Unique. Also, No flashy event or praises from VIPs. A simple affair. Just making the CD available at stores from 10th morning and some song teasers from 9th on Televisions”.
Poda Podi has Eight track among which three songs sung by our Simbu. First Indian song to be Shot at Disney Land is ”Appan Mavaney” song sung by Simbu and lyrics is penned by Vaali. Simbu nephew, Samarath plays a son role in Poda Podi will also be features in the Appan Mavaney Song. The song will be dedicated to the father and will express the love of a father to his son.
“Podaa Podi” song sung by Benny Dayal and Andrea Jeremiah will be a melody number featuring the opening song of the movie. “I am a Kuthu Dancer” sung by Simbu and Shankar Mahadevan will be an Kuthu Dance and will feature the Climax song of the film.
