Actor – director Samuthirakani is directing the Telugu remake of Porali starring Puneet Rrajkumar. He is doing a couple of Malayalam movies too now.
Buzz is that before he ventures to direct a movie starring Jayam Ravi and Amala Paul, Samuthirakani is all set to act in National-award winning director Seenu Ramaswamy’s Neer Paravai.
The movie produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies will features Viishnu, Sunaina in the lead roles, finally went on the floors some weeks ago after its hero Vishnu recovered from his wrist injury. The film’s shoot is going on at a brisk pace in the southern coastal districts of the state where Vishnu plays a fisherman. Nandhitha Das plays a prominent role in it.
Samuthirakani in Neerparavai, makes it two directors on one set but for Samudrakani thats nothing new as he has worked several times with good friend Sasikumar before. Guess that adds one more dimension to the film with so many talented people coming together.
