Sundar C’s Sangamithra shooting planned for August 2018
It’s important to realize that Sangamithra has been one of the most expected films of Indian movie industry. Right from the word ‘Go’, the expectations for this Sundar C directorial have been at the peak. Moreover, the film’s official announcement made during the Cannes International Film Festival had turned the global spotlights upon it. Regrettably, due to some issues, the project was shelved from taking off. But, we now hear that the entire team is planning to start Sangamithra shooting from August 2018.
The most compelling evidence that Sangamithra is a promising film is AR Rahman’s nod. The point often overlooked is that the academy award winner doesn’t accept a project at ease. Nonetheless, he was so much impressed with this film’s premise and characterization.
The story revolves around a princess and her ambitious journey to bring many kingdoms together for a reason. While Shruthi Haasan was initially roped to play this role, she walked out of the project due to some creative difference. Apparently, Disha Patani came onboard to replace her. By and large the handsome hunks Jayam Ravi and Arya will be seen in lead roles.
