UTv who started off their production banner in KTown, brings a lot of changes to tamil film industry. Utv has been in a unique way in promoting their movies from the day they made their foot print in KTown.
The recent movie to hit screen from Utv is Thaandavam. Special screening for the celebrities was an usual way for all but its not the same if Utv does it. Yes, Utv has announced long back that they are planned to do a paid premiere and not even a single penny goes to their pocket instead to a NAB(National Association for the Blind).
The reason why Utv came up with this idea is that the genre of the movie too the same. Vikram who known for his uniqueness in his acting have come up with blind man role in this flick, who practices the technique of human echolocation.
The show has been scheduled tonight and it has also made a huge donation value. The total collection of the paid premiere raises Rs.20 Lacs for National Association for the Blind (NAB). Full credits goes to the entire UTv and Thaandavam team for bringing this unique idea of joining hands with NAB for a noble cause. This makes them go beyond providing entertainment in this film with sharing it for a good cause.
