Jilla, an upcoming film of Ilayathalapathy Vijay directed by T.Nesan is briskly progressing with its shoot. It is now confirmed that Vijay has sung a melody track which will also feature Shreya Ghosal. D.Imman, music composer of Jilla has said this track will be an ethnic melodious number. Lyrics is penned by Vairamuthu.
The rough track was sung by D.Imman and sent to Vijay. After listening to the track, Vijay liked the track and recorded the song yesterday at AM Studios, Chennai. Shreya Ghoshal recorded her part earlier. Regarding the track, D.Imman says “This song will be a complete melody track which is new for Vijay and we haven’t seen a full melody song for Vijay. After the recording Vijay sir was very happy and thanked for giving such a lovely song in the film. Vijay stepped into singing after a long break and he is being continuously approached by his film Music directors. Vijay earlier sung in Thuppakki & Thalaivaa.
Jilla stars Vijay, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, Soori and many. The film is directed by T.Nesan and produced by Super Good Films and the release has been scheduled for Pongal 2014.
