Kumki is an upcoming Tamil film Starring Vikram Prabhu in his feature film debut. The movie is to be directed by Prabu Solomon whose last film Mynaa was widely appreciated by critics and movie-goers.
The movie marks the acting introduction of Vikram Prabhu, son of popular Tamil actor Prabhu and grandson of the late legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan. Though his grand father and father were big stars, Vikram Prabhu’s entry to cinema was not easy. Guess how he managed to get his act in Kumki?
Says Prabhu Solomon, the director of the film, ‘I wanted to find the right man to play ‘Bomman’ in the movie and was looking for some one who was at least 6 feet tall because the elephant was quite huge.’ ‘I came to know from a friend that Prabhu’s son Vikram was looking for an ideal launch and that’s how things moved’. Prabhu Solomon admitted that he was a little apprehensive before meeting Vikram Prabhu but once he saw he decided he was the man for Bomman.
