Arasiyalla Ithellam Satharanamappa – A trial and error comedy caper on the way
Actor Veera made his debut through Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Nadunissi Naaigal, which was a psychological thriller. His second outing was a heist based thriller titled ‘Rajathanthiram’, which was a top grosser in box office. Indeed, Arasiyalla Ithellam Satharanamappa is the first ever time, he is attempting with a comedy caper. In fact, the actor himself addresses this saying, “Both my previous films have been completely based on dark themes. As I am attempting with a different genre for the first time, there are butterflies in my stomach. But I am sure that audiences will enjoy the film for its trial and error comedy caper treatment.”
AIS is directed by Avinaash Hariharan and is produced by Mahesh Govindaraaj of Auraa Cinemas. Malavika Nair who was earlier seen in the film ‘Cuckoo’ is playing the female lead role. While Veera would be essaying the role of a photographer from Pondicherry, Malavika appears as a wedding planner. Pasupathi plays once-a-top Hit man in Mumbai, who has lost his fame for nearly 15 years. Accordingly, he has found a promising task to prove back his power. Finally, there is a talkative politician (played by Robo Shankar), who sets off the series of relentless motion bringing all these characters connected.
When asked if Arasiyalla Ithellam Satharanamappa has a political backdrop, the director adds that it would be found as a little ingredient, but not as the major premise.
