5 expected big tickets of January 2018 first half

2Point0 – No words! This magnum opus of Shankar doesn’t need any introduction. It has been creating huge waves ever since the official word was made on the project. The film is getting brisk on its heels to wrap up by end of this year. The worldwide release has cited by producers at Lyca Productions will be on January 25, 2018.

Sketch – Chiyaan Vikram-Tamannaah starrer Sketch might likely joining the release for Pongal 2018. This is a tentative release date or else, it would be making its way for the February month. Vijay Chander has directed the film and Kalaipuli S Thanu has produced it.

Thaana Serndha Koottam – This is an official word from the producers at Studio Green Films. Thaana Serndha Koottam starring Suriya and Keerthy Suresh will be hitting screens on Pongal 2018. Vignesh Shivan has directed the film with Anirudh composing music.

STR’s English Film – The shooting for this film is commencing by next month and will be wrapped up by yearend. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing BGM and shoot will commence once this is done. It looks like this film will be a release for summer 2018.

Vishwaroopam 2 – If everything goes well as planned from now, Kamal Haasan will be completing all schedules and pending post-productions before year-end. This release might have its tentative date somewhere in May or June 2018.

This is just tentative release plans from the production houses for the moment. The same first half also includes the release of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala, Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Dhanush’s Maari 2 as well. However, there could some preponed or postponed releases from normal schedule.
