Actor Vijay Sethupathi gets emotional about Seethakaathi film
Actor Vijay Sethupathi got emotional while speaking about his Seethakaathi film. The ‘Making of Ayya’ video from the film was released during the Super Singer Grand Finale at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. During this juncture, actor Vijay Sethupathi along with his team was present, where he got emotional during his speech.
Vijay Sethupathi said, “I am really blessed to be a part of this moviei, which is based on the life of a musical saint like personality. His life has been dedicated to this art and is still regarded as God by man in Southern Tamil Nadu. I am elated that Seethakaathi happens to be my 25th film. Filmmaker Balaji Tharaneetharan approached many top actors to play the lead character. But they weren’t responding to his request. Finally, I got this opportunity to play 80-yr old man. The film will emphasize on the message “We might die, but not our art.”
Earlier, Balaji Tharaneetharan and Vijay Sethupathi had collaborated for Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. Currently, Makkal Selvan has lined up Junga, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, 96 and Super Deluxe, which will be hitting screens in short intervals.
