The Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Kochadaiyaan, directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin and written by K. S. Ravikumar is a Tamil Period Film. Along with Superstar Rajnikanth, movie will feature R. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar. The film, which is expected to be shot with motion capture in 3D, will have cinematography handled by Rajiv Menon whilst background score and soundtrack will be composed by A. R. Rahman. The movie is also planned to release in Hindi, Telugu, Japanese and English. The first of tamil movies to release in multi lanuguage.
The 3D technology used in Avatar and The Adventures of Tintin is being used in this film. The first schedule of indoor shooting started with Rajinikanth’s style and his action filmed for motion capturing. The film then shot at many places First phase at London,Second phase at TamilNadu & Thiruvananthapuram respectively. Now the team has headed over to Hong Kong for the third phase of the shoot with the lead actor Rajnikanth.
Bollywood Actor Jackie Shroff was very happy with the way the movie is coming up. The actor is said to play the role of a king and the antagonist in the film is keenly observing the new technology that has been used to make the film. While he has finished with his share of shooting for the film. He says ” The team is soon headed to Hong Kong. I want to take my son, Tiger, there to check out the way this moviehas been made. This has been the first time experience for me. I want him to check it out as he plans on entering films too. Jackie also hints that he like to do more tamil projects coming years. “My debut film (Aaranya Kaandam) won two National Awards and my next one is with Rajinikanth. I am sure my third one will only be bigger,”
