Maari 2 release scheduled for Dhanush’s birthday?
Actor Dhanush’s upcoming film Maari 2 is tentatively scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on July 27 for his birthday. The film’s first installment featuring Dhanush and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles, directed by Balaji Mohan had a super hit run in theatres. Nearly after three years, the same combination of Dhanush and Balaji Mohan are teaming up for Maari 2, which will have a new premise and isn’t sequel to first part. Sai Pallavi has been signed to play the female lead role in this film, which also features Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar and Kreshna in important characters. Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas would be seen locking horns with Dhanush in negative role. It is worth mentioning that Dhanush wanted to release his previous movie Velai Illa Pattadhaari 2 for the same occasion of birthday. But he couldn’t make it due to the imposition of GST and municipal tax at that point of time. Well, Dhanush fans can have a blast of celebration for this year as the entire team is keen on wrapping up the shoot by end of April itself. Dhanush will reportedly start shooting for his other film for Sri Thenandal Pictures by May 2018.
During this interim, his long awaited film Enai Noki Paayum Thota is tentatively scheduled for release by February end or in March.
