“The role I play in Dev and my real life nature are identical” – Rakul Preet Singh
Actress Rakul Preet Singh made her debut in Tamil cinema through the film ‘Yennamo Yedho’, which was a box office disaster. After a long hiatus, the actress made her comeback in Tamil film industry through the film ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ featuring Karthi in lead role and directed by Vinod that was stupendous hit. Now the actress is once again sharing the screen space with Karthi in ‘Dev’, which is directed by Rajath Ravishankar. The film is a Rom-Com laced with action and adventure, which will have both the lead characters being workaholics. While interacting with media about this film, Rakul Preet Singh says, “The role I play in Dev and my real life nature are identical. Both of us workaholics and at times, you might feel like hitting the onscreen character for the way she behaves. However, she has a kind of innocence blended as well.”
Adding more about the film, she says, “Just as we were wrapping up with the shooting of Theeran, Karthi told me about a full length love story, which was a kind of movie that I wanted to do from a very long time. As soon as the story was narrated to me, I got impressed and gave a nod. I am so happy that the film has shaped up very well.”
