Dhanush to sign Chiranjeevi or Nagarjuna for next
National award winning actor and producer Dhanush made his directorial debut with last year release Pa Pandi. The film was highly appreciated by both film critics and general audiences as well. Off the late, Dhanush got busy with his acting commitments and production that includes Velai Illa Pattadhaari 2. Right now, he is shooting for Balaji Mohan’s Maari 2, which is tentatively scheduled for release in July. During this interim, there was an announcement in last December claiming that Dhanush will direct a film, produced by Sri Thenandal Films, which will feature him in lead role as well. There were many claims that it would be a period film, but there hasn’t any official word on it. Now, there is interesting news that mentions Dhanush has approached Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi to play an important role in this movie.
Nevertheless, Hema Rukmini of Sri Thenandal Films has said that it’s too early to comment anything on this. “We will announce the star-cast only after proper finalization with actors,” tots up Hema, who bankrolled last year hit movie ‘Mersal’ along with her husband Murali Ramasamy. On other end, it is learnt that in case of Chiranjeevi’s unavailability, Nagarjuna might get onboard for this film .
