Jiiva debuts in Bollywood with Ranveer Singh’s 1983 World Cup
Actor Jiiva had managed to offer couple of entertaining movies – Sangili Bungili Kathava Thorae and Kalakalappu 2 in 2018. Of course, 2019 looks much more promising for the actor, which are evident through his line-ups including Kee, Gypsy, untitled film with Rathina Siva, a multi-starrer film with Arulnithi. With so many projects lined up at different stages of production, Jiiva will now make his debut in Bollywood through the Hindi film ‘1983 World Cup’, which stars Ranveer Singh in lead role.
The film will be the exact inspiration from the moments of 1983 World Cup, which was won by Indian Cricket Team led by Kapil Dev. Jiiva will be performing the role of Tamilian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth. Jiiva says, “I am really happy to make my debut in Bollywood through this film for Cricket happens to be my passion from a very long time. Moreover, to reprise the role of Krishnamachari Srikanth sir is really exciting. The shooting will be commencing in London from May and am really exhilarated looking forward to be a part of this film.” Jiiva also adds that his forthcoming movies will be definitely leaving a trenchant mark.
