December 22nd Release confirmed for Velaikkaran
The long wait is finally over. In fact, Kolly Buzz had prompted a buzz recently that Sivakarthikeyan-Nayanthara starrer Velaikkaran is likely to get postponed. The film had the initial date scheduled on August 25 and then was postponed to September 29. Having made the film on a big budget, producers doesn’t want to risk by releasing on the normal days. But, now there is an official confirmation from the Velaikkaran team.
The official press release made the release date clear for Velaikkaran which is December 22. The reason mentioned is that the online censor processing might take 3-4 weeks. Apart from this, it is not possible to release the movie for Diwali as there are big movies hitting screens.
Also, there are no festive occasions in November so the makers prefer going for Christmas holidays that starts from December 22, 2017. RD Raja of 24AM Studios, producer of this film comes up with an apology for keeping the fans wait for a long time. At the same time, he promises them that it will be an entertaining film for all.
Velaikkaran features Nayanthara and Fahadh Faasil in important roles. Anirudh has composed music and Ramji has handled cinematography.
